A name or location entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies the results. Cameron Parish Criminal History does not retain or record those search terms on its own systems.

We retain an email sent to us as needed to prepare and deliver a response. The message remains within our organization unless applicable law requires disclosure to someone else.

Cameron Parish Criminal History does not keep, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal-record information. Its published material explains how to find records held by the Cameron Parish Sheriff's Office, the Thirty-Eighth Judicial District Court clerk, Louisiana State Police BCII, and the Louisiana Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry. Louisiana R.S. 15:587 governs dissemination of state criminal-history information by the official repository. This privately operated website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not compiled into consumer reports or third-party criminal records.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted through a box is handled under that provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider controls its retention and disclosure practices, which are outside our control. Review the applicable provider policy before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Cameron Parish Sheriff's Office, court portals, Louisiana agencies, legal-aid resources, or third-party search services. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination's privacy rules govern the visit. Those rules should be reviewed before personal details are submitted.
